From Upper NW...
* Travel south on Connecticut Ave.
* Continue south past the National Zoo (which will be on your left).
* After you cross the Taft Bridge, you'll want to make a left at the first traffic light intersection after the bridge, but traffic laws do not permit a left turn. So immediately after crossing the bridge, veer right onto the "jug handle."
* You'll come to a stop sign. Make a left. You're now on Kalorama Road.
* Proceed straight through the traffic light intersection (which crosses you back over Conn. Ave.).
*Make first right onto 20th Street
*The Mendota will be your right at the corner of 20th Street & Kalorama Road.
From Downtown DC...
* Travel north on Connecticut Ave.
* Continue past Washington Hilton Hotel (which will be on your right).
* Make a Right onto Kalorama Road (if you cross the Taft Bridge, you've gone too far).
* Make first right onto 20th Street.
* The Mendota will be on your right at the corner of 20th Street & Kalorama Road.
From VA or MD via the Beltway...
* Take 495 to Exit 33
(Route 185, Connecticut Ave./Kensington-Chevy Chase Exit.)
* If coming from the inner-loop of the beltway, make a right at the end of the exit ramp, heading towards Chevy Chase.
* If coming from the outer-loop of the beltway, make a left at the end of the exit ramp, heading towards Chevy Chase.
* Stay on Connecticut Ave. for approximately 7 miles.
* After you pass the National Zoo (which will be on your left), you'll pass over Taft Bridge.
