North Cleveland Park
As its name implies, North Cleveland Park lies just north of the historic Cleveland Park neighborhood.
The neighborhood is comprised of single-family detached homes (mostly Colonials), row houses (a variety of porch-fronts, Tudors and Spanish revivals built in the 1920s and 1930s), and a few condominiums and historic cooperatives.
North Cleveland Park is primarily residential, with retail shops/services, corporate offices and restaurants restricted to its outer boundaries of Wisconsin and Connecticut Avenues.
The University of the District of Columbia calls this neighborhood home, as do several embassies that are located on International Drive (just off Van Ness Street).
North Cleveland Park is bounded by Connecticut Avenue to the east, Nebraska & Wisconsin Avenues to the west, and the south side of Albemarle Street to the north (the north side of Albemarle Street falls within the Wakefield neighborhood). The community's southern boundary lies just north of the intersection of Quebec and 37th Streets.
